We started playing with sparklers and long-exposure a few years ago during a barbecue that we hosted after Diana’s first installation at Harper College in Palatine, IL. We put sparklers in the hands of some of our friends and they ran around the park drawing lines on a photograph we were taking.
We busted the sparklers back out a few weeks ago when we traveled down to Bloomington-Normal for a visit with Melanie Scott-Dockery and her husband, Drew. They joined us in making making some new photos, this time with color.
Posting these photos reminds me of a few more that we took when we first bought the red, blue and green sparklers. Prints of all these are available for purchase through Catch Photography. Use the coupon code, CATCHY for a discount.
